As light and playful as the pattern of summer rain on the Rhein, this cheerful scarf combines dots and stripes into one whimsical piece. A perfect combination, that of a fine wool and a silk-mohair, make this scarf exquisite both to wear and knit.

The technique is dimensional intarsia, where a thread for the motif is added together with the main thread, rather than switching yarns as in regular intarsia. It creates bubbles and stripes with a delightful, almost ethereal, texture.

We recommend the following fine wools:
Pure Cashmere N-86 by Habu Textiles
Wrapped Merino N-80 by Habu Textiles
Spinni (Wool 1) by Isager

And a silk-mohair component.
